Character Set

Letrinth

(available at myfonts.com)

Letrinth is a bold, informal sans-serif face. Its lower case is unusual in design; some of the characters are scaled versions of the upper-case letters.

Letrinth had an unusual origin. I have spent considerable time several years ago developing a maze construction set, which consists of a program to generate mazes and a set of specialized typefaces to print the mazes. (Dover has published two maze puzzle books which I designed with the aid of this construction set called Fascinating Mazes and Maze Madness. If you like mazes, buy them.) One design for constructing a maze involved making the paths from the interior of letters. Letrinth (LETters for a labyRINTH) comes from the letters I used for this purpose.
