Ayda's Buffalo
Ayda's Restaurant had two of the three Rensselaer 2022 murals.
Wes Abarca painted the back wall that needed some repairs before he started. His style is to give his images a stained-glass look. His Instagram comment was: "After researching the area, I was thrilled to discover that the great [bison] once freely roamed this beautiful land. I dedicated my wall to the Kankakee Sands @nature_indiana for their efforts in restoring this great animal.
"This was my first time in the state of Indiana and I had such an amazing time painting, exploring, meeting other artists and the community. I can't thank @camer1sf and everyone who came together to make this fest happen, enough, for letting me be part of this year's festivities. You guys rock!"
